Gary’s fans know to look for a hallmark of Gary’s art; a little mouse named “Boo”. Around 1980, Gary noticed a little brown mouse that kept him company when he worked late evenings in his art studio. Before long, Gary named him Boo and started bringing him brown-bag meals of Twinkies and cheese. Next, Boo started showing up in all his drawings. Now every illustration has the little mouse in it somewhere. At times it’s easy to miss Boo lost among Gary’s detailed images filled with tiny bits of humor, but look hard and you’ll find him.
